The Building Control & Land Charges Team has a vacancy for an experienced Building Control Surveyor, commencing on the 1st April 2018 (an earlier start date may be possible by mutual agreement).

The successful candidate will need to deliver excellent customer care standards, demonstrate the ability to market the Council’s Building Regulation Service, be able to build and maintain rapport with all customers and be capable of carrying out the wide range of tasks associated with the local authority Building Control function including; plan checking, site inspections, and dangerous structures callouts (which includes out of hours).

Ideally we are looking for a fully qualified member of a relevant professional body such as RICS, CABE, CIOB, and with extensive experience in Building Control, candidates must also be a team player with the ability to work independently, demonstrate a willingness to work flexibly and be able to adapt to change. Applications would be welcome from part qualified surveyors who can demonstrate good practical knowledge and relevant experience.
